Pastor
Ayers graduated from Auburn University in 1982 with his Bachelor degree in
Environmental Engineering. One year later he married his wife Ann. After
several years and many job relocations, Pastor Ayers accepted Christ as his
personal Savior in 1988 while working in New Jersey. He and his wife would
later become actively involved at Open Bible Baptist Church in Williamstown, New
Jersey. In 1995, Pastor Ayers felt the Lords call on his life to preach. He
left his job as an engineer and took his family to Knoxville, Tennessee where he
began seminary at Crown College. After graduating from seminary in 1997, Pastor
Ayers returned to Open Bible Baptist Church to serve as Assistant to the Pastor
under Dr. George Riddell (Senior Pastor). In June of 1999, Pastor Ayers and his
family relocated to Erie, Pennsylvania where he serves as the Pastor of Walnut
Creek Baptist Church. Pastor and Ann have four children: Trisha, Joe, Colleen
and Sarah.

Tracey
Messer was raised in a Christian home, the son of a Baptist pastor. Tracey
accepted Christ as his personal Savior at the age of eleven. He joined the
Marines at the age of eighteen. Later, while serving in the Air Force, the Lord
called Tracey to preach. Following the Lords leading, Tracey left the military
and went to Crown College where he graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor in
Biblical Studies. He and Erica, his wife of twenty years, have 5 children:
Gideon (16), Levi (14), Elizabeth (12), Caleb (9), and Leah (6). Tracey has
served as Childrens Director at Walnut Creek Baptist Church since September of
2004.

Dave Welsch, Youth Director

Dave Welsch accepted Christ as his Savior on June 13, 2001 at "The
Wilds" camp in North Carolina. God began to work in his heart about serving him
full time and Dave gave his life to serve God full time in the ministry. Dave
spent 4 years in Bible college, in the summer of 2003 he traveled as a
Neighborhood Bible Time Evangelist. During the summers of 2004, 2005, 2006 he
served as the youth pastor at Valley Baptist Church in Oswego, Illinois. In
March 2007 God led Dave to come on staff at Walnut Creek Baptist Church as the
youth director, where he still serves with his wife Trisha.
