Who We Are
We believe Christ commanded us to reach children and to teach them in the ways of His Word (Mt.19:14). We are losing a generation of children because they know very little of Gods Word. While it is our goal to teach children the Word of God, we strive to emphasize applying what they know about Gods Word to their lives. We believe children, even from an early age (II Tim.3:15), have the potential to understand and live out Gods Word in very practical every day applications. So it is through our weekly Bible clubs Youth for Truth that we attempt to meet this goal.
What We're Doing
We try to instill a knowledge and love of Gods Word through a variety of methods: Scripture Memory competition, Daily Devotional books, Random Acts of Service points, Bible Review Games, and a good solid weekly Bible Lesson taught by teachers who love the children. We also believe the Christian life is one to be enjoyed, not merely endured, so we include an exciting game time where team-spirit is emphasized. At Walnut Creek BaptistChurch, we like to consider children as an area of great importance not to be overlooked.
